The Cataractes de Shawinigan have decided to trade one of their two import players. Louis Robin, former Lausanne HC- and EV Zug junior, is heading to the Val d'Or Foreurs for a seventh-round pick in the QMJHL entry draft.

Robin only recently signed with Shawinigan at the start of the month and has made seven games with them, recording two goals and four assists. Last season, the 19-year-old was a member of L'Océanic de Rimouski.

In his stead, Léo Braillard joins the Cataractes. The member of EHC Biel's youth department was drafted by them in the CHL Import Draft in July. As the club states, the young forward let them know via his agent that he would like to play for them about two weeks ago, shortly after they had signed Louis Robin. Due to CHL teams only being allowed two import players (the other one is another Swiss player, Lorenzo Canonica), they had to make a decision, which lead to the trade of Robin.
