As he tells Radio RJB, the workload has just become too much for him, as he also works another job. Fluri made his debut in the NLA (now National League) as a linesman in 2005 and has been working as a head referee since 2018.
Fluri was also able to referee at various international tournaments. The highlight of his career, as he tells the same source, was being part of the referee crew for the 2017 World Juniors gold medal game between Canada and Team USA in Montréal.
