The IIHF announced its newest honourees into the IIHF Hall of Fame for 2023 yesterday.

Cristobal Huet is one of the players which will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next spring. Huet was the most successful French goaltender, appearing in 13 World Championships and two Olympic games. Huet ended his playing career in Lausanne in 2018.

Sandra Dombrowski (now Sandra Frey) founded EV Bomo Thun and suited up as a player for the Swiss national team at the "first unofficial World Championship" in 1987. After her playing career, she worked as an official. She will be the first female game official to be inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame.
