Petschnig was signed by the Fort Wayne Komets (ECHL) in late August. According to The Journal Gazette, he has now been invited to the Chicago Wolves' training camp. The Wolves are the AHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights.

Byran Lerg, on the other hand, has yet to find a new employer for the 2019-20 season. Lerg is listed on the roster on the Hartford Wolf Pack's website and, according to Eliteprospect, he too has received a tryout opportunity. The forward last played for HC Ambrì-Piotta, putting up five assists in 17 games.
