The 32-year-old defenseman had played for HC Lugano throughout the Spengler Cup and had been interested in extending his stay in Switzerland, as his agent Aljoša Pilko told swisshockeynews.ch at the beginning of January.
However, Wisniewski has for now only been signed to a 25-game professional tryout, as Darren Dreger (TSN) reports. The defenseman, who started his NHL career with the Chicago Blackhawks, will join the Wolves next Thursday.
I would like to say how excited I am to join the @Chicago_Wolves. Leaving this Sunday.. started my career in Chicago time to restart it!!
