The 25-year-old centerman has signed a one-year contract with the SHL team.

Pontus Widerström

While it first looked like Pontus Widerström would stay with EV Zug's organization, the organization and the Swede eventually decided to go their separate ways.

The forward now returns to Sweden after only one season in Switzerland. Widerström suited up in 16 games for the EVZ Academy and also recorded five goals and five assists in 33 games for EV Zug.
