"I want to thank Luleå Hockey for the understanding and that we quickly agreed on a solution," Linus Klasen says on the club's website. Because his wife and four kids stayed in Lugano, it has been difficult for Klasen to see them due to the pandemic in the past months.

"We respect Linus' family situation," Luleå's general manager Stefan Nilsson explains, "and we have agreed that he may terminate his agreement prematurely. We hope that it will work out better for the family and we wish Linus all the best in the future."

This past season, Linus Klasen suited up 57 times for Luleå Hockey (including playoffs) and recorded 48 points (14 goals, 34 assists). As for next season, the Swedish forward will suit up for EHC Visp. The Swss League team and Klasen have agreed on a two-year contract.
