In an interview with the Tages-Anzeiger, the 26-year-old speaks about his first impressions of his new home in Siberia.

It has been four weeks since Andrighetto's new team, Avangard Omsk, confirmed that the Swiss forward has signed a two-year deal with them. Two weeks later, Andrighetto arrived in Russia. "It's all new for me, a different culture, different people, and a different language. So the first two or three days were not easy," he says.

In spite of all the difficulties, he is looking forward to the new challenge: "I think this change is the right step at this point in my career," the former player of the Colorado Avalanche explains. "I wanted a bigger role than I last got in the NHL. I want to take responsibility, be a leader. And I believe that chances are better in the KHL."
