As the general manager of Lillehammer, Atle Svendsrud, tells TV2 they have a verbal agreement with Andreas Matinsen that he will play some friendlies with them as well as start the season in Lillehammer.

However, if he were to be willing to extend his stay in Norway, the club would need some help from outside in order to be able to afford to sign him to a proper contract.

Martinsen joined EV Zug's organization at the end of January 2020. Due to the pandemic, he only got to suit up in five games for them, recording one goal. He also played one game for the EVZ Academy.
