Smith joined the Mice only in January with a contract valid until the end of the season. In April, EHC Olten announced that Smith, among others, will not be part of their roster for the upcoming season.
The 29-year-old German-Canadien has now found a new team with the Iserlohn Roosters in the DEL. As he has already played for Berlin, Köln and Ingoldstadt throughout his career, Smith is no stranger to the German league.
