According to La Liberté, Philippe Furrer will be sidelined for several weeks, but HC Fribourg-Gottéron's team manager Christian Dubé hopes that his veteran defenseman will be able to return to game action in December. Furrer twisted his knee on Friday when his team mate Reto Berra fell on his leg.

This season, Philippe Furrer has appeared in 20 games, in which he recorded six points (two goals). On average, he has been on the ice for 18:01 minutes per game.
