The episode, which cost Robert Mayer a one-game suspension, occurred during the second period of yesterday's game between the ZSC Lions and Genève-Servette HC. After being hit in the head, Marcus Krüger continued playing for a while, but at the beginning of the third period, he had to throw in the towel.

On the ZSC Lions' medical report page, Krüger is listed day-to-day with an undisclosed upper-body injury. In his first season outside North America since 2011, the 29-year-old center has suited up 17 times for the Lions, recording nine points (four goals).
