In the 38th minute of yesterday's game between Lausanne HC and the SCL Tigers, Yannick Blaser blocked a shot from Petteri Lindbohm with his body. After being hit by the puck, Blaser left the game and went to the hospital as he was spitting blood.

The 30-year-old, who has recorded eight points in 18 games so far in this season, leads the league for blocked shots per game (at least ten games played) with 2.67.
