The New Jersey Devils announced today that Nico Hischier has been placed on injured reserve, retroactive to December 5. This means that the forward has not recovered from his illness yet and will miss therefore at least also tonight's game against the Dallas Stars.

In 25 games this season with the Devils, Hischier scored five goals and put up eleven assists. Moreover, with 51.5%, the 20-year-old has the second-best faceoff win percentage of the team.
