The veteran defenseman was the only absentee during the Lions' first practice sessions.

Severin Blindenbacher

The 37-year-old suffered a concussion during a game against the SCL Tigers back in January. As the Tages-Anzeiger reports, Blindenbacher is still not ready to resume full-contact drills. As Sven Leuenberger told the newspaper: "At the moment it doesn't make sense for him to practice with the team."

While the Lions can't count on Blindenbacher yet, they have a few prominent training guests: Mirco Müller, whose future is still unknown as he has yet to sign a contract for the 2020-21 season. For the next week Tim Berni, who will play for the Columbus Blue Jackets next season, and Marco Rossi, projected to be a Top-5 prospect in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, are expected to join the Lions as well.
