The 18-year-old forward had to leave the ice early in a preseason game on Saturday. As the club informs now, Biasca sustained a thumb injury and had to undergo surgery. It is not yet clear, how long he has to stay away from the rink.

Biasca has put together an impressive training camp and preseason this year with five points in three games prior to his injury, the club writes on their website.

Coming from EV Zug's youth organisation, the young forward already made 19 games (eight points) for the Mooseheads last season, playing in one of the three top Canadian junior leagues, the QMJHL.
