As Thierry Meyer, director of communication of Lausanne HC, explains, the obligation to relocate to Yverdon-les-Bains and its 2000 places for the first two home matches of the Champions Hockey League (September 6 against Minsk and September 8 against Lahti) together with the expenses for direct flights between the various destinations amount to a six-digit number for the entire group phase. Meyer also reveals that it will be difficult to make it profitable in the short term.

According to 24 heures, the fact that the Lausanne HC is taking its time to hire a fifth foreign player is linked to the current context and, reportedly, "several generous people" have come forward in order to give the club a boost for its European adventure.
