The ZSC Lions, second seed in their Group, will have to hit the ice against Rögle Ängelholm. The Swedish team topped their goup. Surpassing, amongst others, also Swiss champion EV Zug, who finished third in this group.
HC Fribourg-Gottéron, for their part, won their group and will now face Red Bull Munich in the first stage of the playoffs. The Germans, who were in the same group as Zug and Rögle, finished group stage as the second seed.
The games for the Round of 16 will take place on November 16/17 and November 23/24.
