World Championship postponed by two weeks

The men's tournament will now take place from May 21 to June 6 2021. Also, the Women’s World Championship will take place in Halifax and Truro from April 7 to April 17.
The 2020 IIHF Extra-Ordinary Congress also followed the proposal to extend the mandate of the current Council until 2021. This means that René Fasel will remain the president of the IIHF for another year.
