WOMEN'S LEAGUE

After losing to SC Langenthal and being relegated, SC Reinach has decided not to register their team for the second-highest league.

For 26 years, SC Reinach was part of the top league. Now, the team is being dissolved. "This decision was obvious," Patrick Kummli, the club's president, tells the Aargauer Zeitung. "In the current situation, it is not possible for us to field a women's team." Too many players left the club after the relegation and the remaining pool of players is too small.

Also, it is no longer possible for the club to keep their women's team for financial reasons. "A women's team needs a budget of 50'000 to 60'000 francs, which we can no longer afford," Kummli says.
