The 26-year-old forward has decided to put an end to her hockey career.

As the Wiler Zeitung reports, Dominique Rüegg has told the ZSC Lions' staff that she would not return: "I will stop playing hockey. I've enjoyed the years with you very much and I am grateful for all I've been able to experience with you."

Rüegg has played six seasons for the ZSC Lions Frauen, two for the SC Weinfelden Ladies, and one for Leksands IF throughout her career, winning four championships. She also played in six World Championships and two Olympic Games. Last season, she recorded 27 goals and 25 assists in 23 games for the Lions.
