GSHC's Jonathan Mercier issued seven-game suspension

Jonathan Mercier has been suspended for seven games for violating IIHF rule 116, abuse of officials. The incident occurred in the game between HC Ambrì-Piotta and Genève-Servette HC on January 12.

Mercier will thus miss six more games. He already sat out Friday's game against the ZSC Lions. In 22 games for the Grenats this season, the defenseman has recorded one goal and three assists.
