After six years in North America, Swedish forward Oscar Lindberg will suit up for EV Zug in the upcoming season. His contract also includes an option for an additional year.
The 27-year-old is a product of Skellefteå AIK's junior department. He made his SHL-debut with them during the 2009-10 season. The following summer, he was selected in the second round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the (then-) Phoenix Coyotes. However, Lindberg would never play for them, his rights were traded to the New York Rangers in 2011. In 2013, he debuted in the AHL, one year later in the NHL.
In total, the Swede made 269 NHL games for New York, the Vegas Golden Knights and the Ottawa Senators, recording 42 goals and 42 assists. He also suited up 165 times in the AHL, putting up 49 goals and 67 assists.
