The former CEO of HC Thurgau replaces Thomas Walser, whose departure from the club was announced in June.

Thomas Imhof will start his new job as CEO of the Lakers' junior division on September 6. The 34-year-old holds a degree in business administration and in 2019 started working as CEO of the youth department of HC Thurgau, the HCT Young Lions. In 2020, then Imhof became the CEO of HC Thurgau, a role he kept for one year.

The CEO of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, Markus Bütler, looks forward to the collaboration with Thomas Imhof: "We are excited to work with Thomas and are happy to have found such a competent successor so quickly. In addition to his experience in management and business administration, he also has the know-how in an ice hockey club."
