Having arrived in Porrentruy from SC Bern in mid-December, the defender appears to have decided to go elsewhere this spring.

As Le Quotidien Jurassien reports (news relayed by SwissHabs), HC Ajoie's team manager Julien Vauclair wanted to extend with Jesse Zgraggen but seemingly the negotiation came to nothing as the 30-year-old will leave the club when his contract will run out at the end of the current season.

Instead, as the Corriere del Ticino writes, the defenseman will join HC Ambrì-Piotta on a two-year deal.

In 19 games with the Ajoulots this season, Zgraggen scored two goals and collected one assist, while in 15 games with SC Bern, he recorded one assist. In the Ajoie, he is the third most-used defender with an average of 19:18 minutes and is second for blocked shots per game with 2.21.
