HC Ajoie's season ended when EHC Olten was defeated in the Swiss League semifinal last Friday. That moment might also have spelled the end of Grégory Sciaroni's on-ice career. Instead, as the Quotidien Jurassien (relayed by SwissHabs) writes, the 34-year-old was offered a position on Ajoie's coaching staff. He already gathered experience as an assistant during his injury in winter.
"At this point in a career, you have to make important decisions for the future", Sciaroni states. "You have to put your priorities on the table."
The forward has been a member of Ajoie for the last two years. Before that, he played for SC Bern (2018-2022), HC Davos (2009-2018) and HC Ambrì-Piotta (2007-2009).
