"The promotion has cost us a lot of money", EHC Kloten's co-president Jan Schibli is cited by the Zürcher Unterländer. "Our club is not doing well. We have to restructure and we started months ago." As the newspaper notes, the recent season added to their struggles with a minus of 3 million francs. Due to their dammed-up losses, the club needs to present a positive result at the end of the fiscal year.

In the sports sector, a new team manager and a new coach are needed. The former should be presented in the next two to three weeks. As previously reported, HC La Chaux-de-Fond's Loïc Burkhalter is a candidate. Rircardo Schödler, manager national teams at Swiss Ice Hockey, is another one. The search for a coach will start afterward.

On the ice, the National League squad needs a few new imports and a new goalie. There have been talks with North America-returnee Ludovic Waeber, he is still under contract with the ZSC Lions.
