After Kyle Greentree (Schwenninger Wild Wings, DEL), Brandon Buck (team not yet announced), Heinis is already the third ex-Sharks player who will continue his career in Germany.

"In the NLA and NLB, the budgets of the clubs are exhausted at the moment and the squads are almost complete. There were certain requests, but I've decided to start something new and therefore I moved to the Falken," the 23-year-old Swiss-German said.

In season 2013-14, Heinis has completed 33 games with the Sharks, scoring a total of four assists.
