While it is still not clear if the EVZ Academy and the HCB Ticino Rockets will remain part of the new Swiss League as of 2022, EVZ has apparently decided that the Academy will play the next season, no matter what. This is what the Luzerner Zeitung writes. The club, however, has not yet officially announced their plans.
What EVZ's team manager Reto Kläy does confirm, however, is that they are currently planning for the next season: "At the moment, there are a lot of talks going on with the coaching staff and the players," he says to the same source. "We are in a difficult situation, but we want to clarify things as soon as possible."
In addition to the contracts of several of their young players, also the contract of head coach Roger Hansson is expiring this spring.
