Christian Weber, 58, has been the head coach of EHC Basel for the last two championships and will return working in the Swiss League as a head coach for the first time since the 2015-16 season when he stepped down from his duties with HC Thurgau. In between, Weber had spent time as an assistant coach in La Chaux-de-Fonds and as head coach of EHC Lustenau in Austria.

With the promotion from the MySports League to the Swiss League, also comes an automatic contract extension for the current head coach.
