What has been speculated about for several months finally seems to be settled: According to Expressen's sources, Linus Omark and Genève-Servette HC have dissolved their contract and the forward seems to have signed a three-year deal with the SHL's Luleå HF. The official confirmation is, however, still pending.

About two weeks ago, the Norrländska Socialdemokraten (NSD) reported that Omark is trying to buy out his contract with GSHC in order to be able to return to his native country.

If this report turns out to be true, Genève-Servette HC loses their top scorer of the past season. In 49 regular season games, Linus Omark recorded 61 points (22 goals) and ten more points (one goal) in ten playoff games.
