HC Ajoie has thus decided to rest the Canadian for tonight's preseason game against the Grenoble-based Brûleurs de Loups. Whether he will be sidelined longer than that remains to be seen.
Defenseman Virgile Thévoz (on loan from Lausanne HC) will also miss the game, in his case due to illness.
Malo Gfeller, who was added to the main roster last summer but missed most of the season with a collarbone injury, has recovered and is ready to go.
