Siegenthaler suffered the injury in last Thursday's game against the Montreal Canadiens. The 24-year-old had to throw in the towel as of the third period.

After further medical examination, it is now clear that Siegenthaler suffered a broken hand. He will thus miss the rest of the season, the Devils write on Twitter.

This season, Siegenthaler has been averaging 20:34 minutes per game on the ice and has collected 14 points in 70 games with the franchise from Newark.
