With 10,500 season tickets sold and a capacity of only 6,000 to 7,000 at the Postfinance Arena next season, SCB has a problem to solve.

Although they have not yet taken a final decision, there seems to be an obvious solution at hand. "Currently, it looks like the season ticket holders will be able to watch every second game," SC Bern's CEO Marc Lüthi explains in an interview with Santémedia. "Once against Langnau, once against Zurich, once against Fribourg - once against every opponent."

As every season ticket holder has already paid for a total of 25 home games, Lüthi promises that every game less will be credited for the 2021-22 season.

It is clear that the Bears will have to cope with less income in both the sports department and in the gastronomy. "We'll make considerable losses in both areas, but we can bear these to a certain extent," Lüthi says. The club is also looking to reduce the salaries of their employees, including the players.
