The 30-year-old defenseman was suspended for one game because he received his second game misconduct penalty of the season.

GSHC is convinced of Tömmernes' innocence.

Genève-Servette HC did not want to accept the sanction against Henrik Tömmernes, as head coach Pat Emond said to the Tribune de Genève: "We're going to appeal the sanction against Henrik Tömmernes because, like many informed observers, we believe that there was no need to whistle anything. Two minutes at the most."

However, the single judge denied the appeal of the National League team. Tömmernes will thus definitely not be able to play in tonight's game.

With Tömmernes' suspension upheld, GSHC is going to be deprived of six players due to suspensions (Damien Riat, Simon Le Coultre, Linus Omark, John Fritsche, Jonathan Mercier). "We're going to give some ice time to young players," Emond says to the TdG.
