The 22-year-old joined the Flyers this past summer and signed a one-year contract. At first, it was planned that the Flyers' main goaltender Martin Gerber could serve as his mentor and help him in his development.
However, these plans could not be implemented as Bolthauser suffered a severe shoulder injury in a pre-season game. He had to undergo surgery and was out until December.
As Martin Gerber is injured at the moment, Boltshauser will get his second straight start for the Flyers in tonight's home game against the SCL Tigers.(bsc)
