The captain of the Swiss League team is dealing with an upper-body injury.

Zack Torquato out for quite some time
EHC Winterthur

According to Der Landbote, Zack Torquato took a hit to his arm in the game against HC La Chaux-de-Fonds last Saturday but tried to play against the GCK Lions on Wednesday.

It is, however, clear now that they will have to make do without him for four to six weeks. According to team manager Urban Leimbacher, they will look at the Swedish market as well as players they might acquire via B-license, but they will only strike a deal if a player in question is "really a reinforcement."

As they will also have to make do without Mika Burkhalter, who will undergo eye surgery after the game against HC Thurgau, they have decided to add Nico Lehmann to their roster. The 19-year-old center of EHC Kloten will play for them via B-license.
