Henrik Tömmernes left the ice with a knee injury in the 23rd minute of play after a check by HC Ambrì-Piotta's Joel Neuenschwander. GSHC's team manager Chris McSorley explains to the Tribune de Genève that further medical examinations are necessary: "We'll know on Saturday, when he'll have an MRI."

As Grégory Beaud (Sport-Center) tweeted out later during the day, there will be no news about Tömmernes' status until at least Monday. He will definitely not be suiting up for the game against SC Bern Saturday night.

The defenseman is currently playing his third straight season with the Grenats. Last season, he managed to put up 28 points (ten goals, 18 assists) in 44 games.
